Registration at Haven Movement Centre

Registration General INFORMATION:

We are different from other facilities. We do not have term registration periods as our gymnastics classes run year-round from September to August. You can join a class at any time. If a class has an open spot available you can register.

Once you register in the class, the class starts immediately, we do not allow future dated registrations. To register for classes you must have an account with us.

Once registered in a class that has recurring monthly tuition, you are continuously enrolled in the program and will incur monthly tuition charges on your account until the end of August. If you would like to drop your enrollment anytime before August, please email customer service BEFORE the recurring payment date which is the 20th day of each month.

We do not offer trial classes. It usually takes several classes before your child warms up to the facility, structure, Instructor, and other students. If a spot is not available in your desired class day & time you can wait-list for any class that you would like to join. Once a spot is available you will be contacted. If you take the spot, the class starts immediately. You are not charged any fees for wait-listing. Please read our terms and conditions before registering. We do not offer refunds once you register for a class

TERMS & CONDITIONS AGREED TO UPON CREATING AN ACCOUNT FOR CLASSES OR EVENTS:

Registration Terms For Gymnastic Classes:

Our classes run year-round in one annual session starting in September and ending in August with tuition charged monthly conveniently from your bank account or credit card on the 20th day of each month. Within the annual session we periodically provide assessments & progress updates. You can choose to drop your enrollment at any time throughout the annual session. To do so, please contact customer service BEFORE our recurring payment date which is the 20th day of each month. We recommend staying in class for a minimum of 4 months to really start to see the benefits, but staying for the annual session will be the most beneficial. If you drop, and then return within the annual session, you will incur the enrollment fee again. You can pay for as many months as you'd like in advance; however, no refunds or credits are given if you elect to drop before the end of the payment term made. You must have a valid credit card or bank account on file in order to be enrolled for classes- even if you elect to pay with cash or e-transfer. Students may join a class at any time as long as there is a spot in your desired class. Classes must meet our minimum class size at all times in order to run, and this may change month to month with our flexible enrollment structure. If you are unsure if your class has met the minimum enrollments needed to run, please contact us.

Facility use terms & conditions:

ARRIVAL AND PICK UP: Please have your child ready to start their class on time. If you do arrive late, please ask a staff member for assistance in getting your child to their class. For safety and security reasons, only participating children and parents in parent-partucipation classes are allowed in the gym area. Participants are asked to wait outside of the gym for their classes to start. Instructors will invite the class in when it's time to start. For safety and sanitary reasons- FOOD, BEVERAGES, CHEWING GUM, OUTSIDE FOOTWEAR, and CELL PHONES are not allowed in the gym area.

WHAT TO WEAR: T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, stretchy pants/sweatpants, and bodysuits are permitted. Please no baggy clothing, dresses, or jewellery. Safety is our number one priority. We do not want the children worried about their shirts going over their heads when they are in a handstand or upside down or tripping over their pants if they are too long. Long hair should be pulled up and out of their faces. Children will be rolling, so make sure they do not have anything in their hair/on their head that might hurt their heads.

BEHAVIOUR & SAFETY: At Haven Movement Centre, we use these steps to help kids to listen and keep them safe: 1. EXPLANATION We will explain our expectations and how to stay safe while in our care. 2. SAFETY WARNING If they continue to be unsafe, they will be excluded from the activity for a short time to calm their body, and asked to explain how to be safe moving forward in the class or event. This may look like sitting to the side of the class or out with a parent/adult in the viewing area. 3. SECOND SAFETY WARNING The child's behaviour will be communicated to the parents upon their arrival to pick up their child. 4. PARENT CONFERENCE A conversation or conference with the parents, participant, and a staff member will take place. We will do our best to handle all situations within the gym. If parents are called during the event or class, it would be because of a situation that we feel puts themselves and/or others at risk. We reserve the right to send a child home when we feel they are not acting in a safe, appropriate, or healthy manner, and are not willing or able to change their behaviour. No credit or refunds will be given when this occurs. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend a child from the gym at any time we feel is necessary for safety reasons, or if we feel that the structure and environment of our program cannot reasonably meet the child's needs.
